“Pro-Union Forces Step It Up In Wisconsin”

Come on Fox News. Do you think we don’t “get” that you’re in the pocket of the same oligarchs who are funding the anti-average-American FORCES in Wisconsin? This isn’t about unions and people getting a living wage to you, is it?  It’s really because you can cast this as a “war” in America. What will you do when your rhetoric once again results in lives lost, as it has done in Arizona?

People wanting a wage that will pay them enough to have a place to live and food to eat and warmth for their children are NOT forces. They’re human beings.  For you to cast them as “forces” tells us that you don’t give a shit about people’s rights. You care about headlines. You care about what the oligarchy wants you to publish. You are tools in the hands of the Koch brothers and their wealthy friends who got rich off of exploiting average Americans. Your filthy “news” channel is exploiting people too. Dehumanizing them. Turning Americans into people you actually hate unless you can make money off of them.

You don’t deserve readership nor viewers. You are traitors to the average Americans you claim to be reaching.  Well, a lot of us are tired of your antics. You showed us. We have decided.

When asked whether he was planning to take the government-provided health care available to lawmakers, the incoming Republican said, “Of course. I’m not stupid..”

After dismantling health care, the GOP plans to take on Medicare, with some hopefuls planning to completely reduce its benefits to near zero, while continuing to tax working Americans to pay for it. Following the decimation of Medicare, the GOP will go after public education and infrastructure. The goal, as one spokesman said, is to “return to America to its roots.”

When asked if that meant giving all Americans the same educational standard as the Founders, the lawmaker refused to comment.

So, if your child is ill, you can expect that GOP-led insurance changes will make sure that your child doesn’t get the care he or she needs. Your child will die, as far as they care.  If you have a pre-existing condition, or just simply if you get sick for any reason, you can lose your insurance under the changes the GOP wants to make. And you will die. You will watch your loved ones die because the GOP doesn’t want you or your loved ones to have the same kind of health care that they vote in for themselves.   It’s crass. It’s unethical. And it’s Republican.

That’s a fact. And the GOP leaders are cheerfully plotting the death panels that will remove any heath care protections “regular” Americans depend on.

I don’t know about you, but that puts anything they claim Obama was trying to do to shame.

GOP=shame.

If you vote GOP, you are voting for the REAL death panels.

First, the White House AND Vilsack and the NAACP do owe Shirley Sherrod an apology, but they’re not the first ones who should be in line to apologize.

Breitbart and Fox News are squarely at fault in this whole mess for crudely editing a video from 30 years ago in order to score political points. Breitbart has the balls to say “it’s not about Shirley Sherrod.” Well, then, Mr. Breitbart (and I use the term “Mr.” with great skepticism — perhaps “bastard” would be better), what WAS it about? Your ability to show us that you can engage in unethical behavior in return for having the rest of American find out that the Tea Party is a lying sack of fools? Well, you just showed us, didn’t you. You showed us that you can actually BE lower than a snake. What the hell were you thinking? That nobody would figure out that you did a botch job on a tape that not only didn’t show what you thought it did (because you didn’t bother to watch it all), but that it showed the OPPOSITE of racism? Did you not think twice before making such a rookie error? You know, legitimate journalists get fired pulling that sort of crap.

But, hey, you did accomplish one thing: you and your minions have shown us that the Tea Party and the GOP stand for the same things — since all of you are in bed together. And Fox “News” is standing on the sidelines, reporting every little BJ you give each other.

I think this is one of the most disgusting things I’ve seen happen in a long time — to actually think that you all could get away with doing a lousy political hatchet job like this and then not think you would need to apologize when they got caught? Where’s that much-vaunted “responsibility” that you and the rest of the right wing hate squad screech about all the time?

I tell you, I thought the GOP was the party of “values” and “taking responsibility” — but as far as I can tell, the GOP, Fox “News” and Breitbart seem to have the values of ruthless dictators. They are the ones who seem to hate America and the freedoms we are supposedly fighting for all over the place.

Breitbart, Fox, Beck, and the GOP/Tea Bagger party: you stink. You don’t have the balls to admit when you’re wrong, and you’ve really put your foot in it this time. You really stink. And, right now, it doesn’t matter about Shirley Sherrod anymore — she’s got bigger balls than you guys ever will. It’s now about YOU and your clumsy, amateurish attempts to fool Americans into thinking you had something to say. Your message is bankrupt. You don’t represent the America most of us grew up with — the one where we were taught to be fair to each other, to be kind, to respect our neighbors. I doubt any of you know what any of that means.

But hey, it probably raised your stock options, so you’ll get richer from the hatred in the end. For GOPpers, that’s probably all that matters.

Whatever happened to the often-cited GOP mantra of “take responsibility”? Oh, right. I forgot. That’s for the little people, the non-GOPpers. It’s okay to be a snide, sexist asshole if you’re a Republican. I mean, look what ignorance and stupidity did for George W.  Bush and Sarah Palin?

Thanks for staying classy Republicans. Keep it up. America needs to know who its enemies of freedom and dignity are, and right now, it kinda looks like you guys are filling the bill. Perhaps we could ship the lot of you to Arizona and close the borders.

Why the HELL would anybody who had a brain even think of joining the Grand Old Patriarchial party? The party of sexist jerks? The party of hate?

There’s so much to choose from lately in terms of idiots spouting off their hateful prose.  There are the usual selfish-as-hell Tea Party folks springing up like mushrooms out of shit who can’t seem to figure out that under President Obama their taxes are going down. Some of them don’t have the math skills to figure out that if you lower taxes, that’s good.  I blame their schools — if they went to them.

They also don’t have the brains to figure out that they’re being funded by wealthy folks who already don’t pay enough in taxes — and who don’t want to pay anything. But it doesn’t look good for rich folks to come out publicly to oppose taxes. So, they find some blowhard Wal-Mart shoppers and unemployed plumbers and ex-Alaska state governors and USE these people to front for them because it always looks better if the lower class does the work for the upper class, neh?  I mean, polyester-clad protesters in John Deere caps bitching about taxes plays better in the media (which is owned by the wealthy) than a Gucci-clad lobbyist or country clubber sniffing about taxes over his or her white whine spritzer.

That’s a great story — selfish, “cult of Me-me-me” people ranting about taxes and big gummint and it turns out they don’t know what they’re talking about, but hey, American soldiers die defending these idiots’ right to self-expression, so they should be at least grateful for that. (And the lobbyist’s kid and the country-club debs wouldn’t be caught dead serving their country, but that’s another story.)

But, it’s not the best story lately. It’s sad and stupid, but it’s not the best.

Contending for best story is the Imam in Iraq who has decided (based on the geology class he flunked at Qom Tech’s College of Religical Nowledge) that earthquakes are caused by promiscuous wimmens.

Oh really?

Wow.  I wish I’d known that when I was taking geology. I’d a gotten an A based on experience in such matters.

Or not.

The last time I looked, it was pretty well understood that earthquakes are caused when underground rocks shift, when tectonic plates slip together. This ultimately jiggles the surface and everything on it, including idiot Imams and the wimmens they are afraid of.

Based on nothing more than superstition, hatred of women, and Allah knows what else, this guy has made a laughingstock of himself, his “religion” and Muslims in general with that little one.  Of course, the redneck contingent in his country will get solidly behind this because hey, any excuse to beat the little wimmens into submission is good enough for them  I wonder if this jerk knows that the Big Island of Hawai’i has more than 300 earthquakes a day?  And, in such Muslim strongholds as Indonesia, earthquakes happen all the time. That’s a whole lotta shakin’ and promiscuin’ going on, neh?

And, funny how he doesn’t single out the MEN who these wimmens are supposedly being promiscuous WITH as being somehow jointly at fault for the ground shaking.  That’s what you get for steeping yourself in a patriarchical religion that doesn’t admit that half of the human race is .. well… human. These religionists function best when then they have something to hate.

That’s a good one, and I have to hand it to the Pat Robertson of Iraq — he’s got a good act going. Perhaps he’ll come back in the next life as a woman.

No, wait, that would be a step UP, and I’d hate to reward such an ignorant wretch with a step up. I’d say bring him back as a latrine.

In the meantime… we’ll move on to another set of religionist idiots who are doing their best to undermine the idea of freedom of religion.

These would be the members of the LDS church I heard about in passing who decided to start converting the neighborhood kids to their particular brand of delusionary religious practice. I suppose that would be somewhat reasonable if all the kids in the neighborhood were LDS.  But, they’re not.  And these loony toons are going behind the parents’ backs to lure the kids into Moronical Mormonical bliss. When these overzealous Moroni Droids were caught out and asked by the other parents to stop, they retaliated by telling their own kids that the non-LDS kids were evil and they couldn’t play with them anymore.

Wow. What a wonderful religion that one is.  Nothing like spreadin’ a little hate in the name of Moroni, eh?

Let’s see — would it be okay if I went out and tried to convert LDS kids to atheism or Catholicism or Allah-ism? I mean, hey, it seems to be okay for the LDS parents to LURE KIDS INTO THEIR HOMES WITH PROMISES (and doesn’t that send a shiver up your spine, this whole luring of kids with promises of goodies?).  Why not a little turn-about? Have a little afternoon workshop on how the LDS treats its wimmens, or how this supposedly holy guy accidentally “found” some gold sheets on a hillside and then because he was being persecuted (persecution is a common theme in religions — imagining you’re being persecuted is a big help in rallying people to a weird idea), he headed west with his baby mammas and hoochie-coochies, and they founded a new religion.  I seem to recall the Rainbow Family did something similar, but they just got called dirty hippies. If they’d invoked some deity’s name, they’d be building temples right about now… but I digress.

I can hear the LDS parents screeching from here.  “Oh, but it’s different!  We’re saving your kids…”   But, if I tried to “save” theirs, I’d be evil.  If someone tried to lure kids into their house with the promise of religious savings… well, doesn’t that just smack of abuse?

However, doing the “I’ll indoctrinate yours since you tried to indoctrinate mine” idea of turnabout is evidently not fair play for the LDSers. And, apparently, for LDSers who are doing this to other people’s kids, neither is respecting others’ rights to believe as they wish and the right to raise their own kids as they see fit.  Once again, a religion reserves unto itself a right that it doesn’t care to respect for others. And they wrap themselves in the American flag while doing so. I see it more as spitting on the flag in disrespect of the freedoms that flag is supposed to respect.

Typical. But, what do you want of people who apparently will swallow any religious jism their leaders spurt out at them?

Ignorance in the name of politics or hate in the name of religion, or hypocrisy in the name of indoctrinating little kids.  Tough choice.

And you know, it seems like I rant on religious idiots a lot — that’s because there are so many thoughtless hypocritical and downright ignorant religionists out there.

Yet, some of the finest people I know are also religious — they’re just not idiots. They are thoughtful, open, honest, and loving people. They make good representatives of the religions they follow.  And, many of them are just as appalled by the Idiot Religious as I am.

Back again soon – I’m sure more Chucklebutts will rear their ugly heads.

Note to the sarcasm-impaired: there’s a big difference between making fun of and satirizing things and “hating” them… I do NOT hate religion or the faithful or anybody else I satirize and make fun of.  I am making fun of them. And pointing out why they need to be singled out for critical examination.

So, don’t wear your religion on your sleeve and whine to me in comments that I “hate” you.  Learn the difference before you make an ass of yourself.

Continue the Class Act

We start with right-wing skank and Christianist shimmy artist Sarah Palin. She’s headling a Tea Bagger party that’s supposed to be for “the people” but it appears that the “people” she appeals to aren’t exactly the base she’s playing to. The folks at the Tea Bagger party have to shell out hundreds of dollars to go to the meeting, which is being held at a swanky resort where only those who can afford it can attend. I’m guessing this doesn’t include the down home folks she loves to count as her base. So,where does that leave Palin’s base?  Out in the cold, as usual. She only needs ‘em for votes, and to do that all she has to do is wink and swagger and show a little leg.  She’s not the best representative of what female politicians could be. She’s a skank with all the manners of a jackal.

She loves the fact that the GOP is obstructing health care in this country — and she loves it that she can call the President names — just as many GOPpers do. But, when do we get to call her on her downright ignorance of American history (she can’t name any of the Founding Fathers she loves to cite), her hatred of anybody who doesn’t agree with her, and her continued confusion over the word “retarded”. (It means more than one thing, Sarah Baby… get over it. And, please, stop using that poor kid as a prop. It’s downright tacky. But then again, tacky is your middle name.)

Next, we have the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs as the site of a hate crime against non-Christians who want to worship as they see fit (and, incidentally as outlined in the Constitution and Bill of Rights which … ah… the military is supposed to be defending). In this case, it’s pagans and their worship area was desecrated with a cross. The AF Academy brass seem to be shrugging it off.  Strange how that works — it’s okay to hate if you’re a Christianist, and pull the ugliest stunts imaginable. But, hey, let an atheist criticism a poor, beknighted Christianist and suddenly we need to arrest everybody in sight and slam their asses in jail until the accept the one true gawd.

I imagine my criticism of this stupidity will now be classed as a hate crime by the very Christianists who think it’s funny to put a cross in somebody else’s church (whether it belongs there or not).  Way to stay classy, Christianists!

Finally, the Christianists are desecrating the Super Bowl by forcing CBS to run an ad against women’s medical choices by touting the fact that a woman — ah… made a CHOICE some years ago and decided to have her baby.  The same Christianist contingent has now forced CBS to reject ads from people who are pro- gay marriage, citing some sort of unnamed “conflict of values.” Yessirree, nothing like the good old-fashioned values of treating women like brood sows, taking away their abilities to make their OWN medical decisions, and then touting the fact that a woman once DID make a choice.  Logical, very logical — not!  But then again, nothing about the Christianist, misogynist and bigoted mindset is very logical, now is it?

Just saw an article about how a GOP senator in California is harassing the California Science Center for cancelling an anti-Darwin film.  From what I’ve read, the CSC had every right to cancel it due to irregularities in the contract the group that wanted to show it had signed. The group apparently lied about what they wanted to show and didn’t properly follow the rules for renting the center.  Of course, the facts aren’t standing in the way of the GOP getting involved and riling up the masses against rational thought.

And, it’s not the first time that creationists have lied to get their bogus anti-science, pro-old Testament message in front of the public. But, for the GOP to leap in where they aren’t welcome and aren’t knowledgeable — well, all I can say is — it’s typical.  Harass, hardass, lie, and cheat now… and ask questions later.

The recent earthquake in Haiti has given the right-wing hate brigade a new opportunity to show how utterly stupid and ugly they are.  Their commentaries and press appearances and thoughtless discussions written in response to news stories are showing us just exactly how much uglier they can be than the scenes of death and destruction we are seeing streaming in from Haiti.  Heading the list of hateful chucklebutts are, as usual, those twins of turpitude, Rush Limbaugh (the boil on the ass of American discourse) and Pat Robertson (the “man of God” who now uses his personal deity to blame Haitians for their own deaths and destruction during the earthquake — how nice and classy of him).

How about we send them along with George W. “I never met a disaster I could fix” Bush when he goes down to Haiti? Maybe put the three of them to work dragging bodies from the rubble. Or, having them help surgeons saw the limbs off of kids without benefit of anesthesia.  Or, maybe we could send Rush out to help some of those kids he did a little 3rd World Strange with a few years ago when he was traveling the Caribbean with somebody else’s Viagra prescription.  I’d hope that if we sent these agents of hate and ugliness down to Haiti, maybe they’d learn something.

But, of course, I’d be wrong.  None of the three of them will ever go near Haiti (well, Bush might if he senses a photo op).  Pat Robertson is so busy shoving his foot down his mouth that it’s coming out his ass and he’s trying to figure out how to walk that way.  He’s too busy raising money to send missionaries down to Haiti so they can wave food in front of starving people and then yank it back if they don’t promise to c0nvert to his religion. He’s got a lot of other work to do, too, begging pensioners for money so he can keep his wealthy lifestyle going. It’s tough being a man of God, you know. Those suits and mansions and limos cost a lot.  He’s really just too busy speaking for an invisible angry sky daddy to actually like, you know, be a human being and help people.

As for Jabba the Hutt… er, I mean, Rush Limbaugh… well, he speaks for himself.  And what he has to say is so ugly, so awful, and so typical of the right wing that he’s even sickening some of his followers.  I rather imagine that Haiti might be saying, “Oh God, we can stand anything, just don’t send Limbaugh down here.”

When you see these people spewing their hate, you don’t really have to wonder why people in other parts of the world hate America. Limbaugh, Robertson and Bush have given them plenty of fodder. The rest of us cringe when we think of the damage they’re doing in our  name.  I imagine God (if she exists) is too.

Well, well, well… how the worm turns. The head chucklebutt of the Rethug Party and spokesworm for the Hateful Right, Rush Limbaugh, checks himself into the hospital complaining of chest pains.  I’m so sorry to hear of this alleged condition, but I don’t believe it for a minute.  More likely, this piece of shit is faking it — just so he can get more drugs to feed his habit.

Remember, Rush, how you accused Michael J. Fox of “faking it” when he appeared on TV with severe symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease?  A condition that I wouldn’t wish on anybody I loved, but I would cheerfully wish on YOU?  Well, the worm turns.  I, for one, don’t believe you.  I think you’re faking it.  You have a history of doing shit like this to get sympathy or out of the draft (remember that anal cyst you used to keep your fat white ass out of Viet Nam so that other “not so worthy” men could fight in your place?  remember those kids you raped in the Caribbean? What are you trying to get out of now?)

While I have seen what Parkinson’s can do to a person, up close and personal, I believe that MJ Fox was showing us his symptoms for a reason — to get help for those who suffer from this awful disease.

You, on the other hand, have brought your heart disease on yourself — with your blowhard ways, your pigging out on hatred and food and phallic cigars, your sex rambles with underage children in third world countries (using Viagra as a tool), and all the other symptoms of a dissolute life.  I hardly feel for you — other than maybe, perhaps, this so-called “chest pain” you’re suffering may teach you a lesson.

But, you have only yourself to blame.  Get over it and start living an honest life.

Oh, and best wishes for a speedy recovery.  You’re taking up a hospital bed that an honestly sick person could use.
